Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Corey Dunlap developed a passion for knives early on, starting with a collection of pocket knives. After moving to Phoenix at 18 and attending the Arizona Culinary Institute, he became captivated by high-quality knives, eventually working for a top resource in Japanese cutlery. Over the next decade, he sharpened over 100,000 knives, deepening my love for the craft. Under Master Bladesmith Ray Rybar, Corey began learning knife-making and is now working towards achieving Journeyman and Master Smith status with the American Bladesmith Society. His goal is to create knives that balance function and artistry, providing tools built to last a lifetime.

Dark Pines is a two man shop ran by Bryant Hamblen and Wayne Brem. Wayne is a full time specialty machinist often working in the luxury and sport yachting world. Bryant is a designer with an eye for perfection and a knack for anything fidget. Both have always had a passion tools and machining and bring a fresh take on one of the worlds oldest tools into the world of high end knives. Dark Pines knives are CNC machined out of a small shop in Arlington WA and completely finished by hand.

Eldon G. Peterson was a master knifemaker and engraver based in Whitefish, Montana, crafting fine custom folders and fixed blades since 1974. Known for his smooth-operating interframes, exquisite engraving, and signature sheaths, Peterson earned recognition from collectors and peers worldwide. His legacy lives on through the artistry and craftsmanship of each knife he created.

Ron Vincent is a skilled Idaho-based blacksmith with over 40 years of experience in forging, knife-making, and farriery. Beginning his craft at age 14, he became a full-time farrier by 20 and later earned his Journeyman title. Ron has competed and won numerous forging contests throughout the Northwest. Each knife he creates is 100% handmade, crafted from USA-sourced materials with some exotic wood handles. His Damascus blades are personally forged, and every sheath is handmade from leather. With a passion for creating lasting, heirloom-quality knives, Ron’s work is built to be passed down for generations. He is a proud member of the Idaho Knife Association and the American Bladesmith Society.

Kelly Frasier has been making knives professional since 2013. His off-grid shop is located in the mountains of North-West Montana. His specialties include san-mai, damascus, and virtually flawless hand-rubbed finishes in a variety of carbon steels, handle materials, and inlays. He has been featured in multiple magazine worldwide, and won multiple awards at knife shows, including two awards at Blade Show West 2025.

Katelyn Guymon is a young artist located in the Flathead Valley of Montana. She has always been interested in art and has tried several different mediums including paints, inks, beading, forge and metal work, and woodworking.
Through her local high school classes she has been able to take hands-on classes that help develop her skills and talents. She has created salad tongs, cutting boards, treasure boxes, and more. Katelyn is a very talented and dedicated young woman who puts her heart and soul into what she does.

Austrian maker Martin Huber founded his company Messerschmied Huber in 2016. Martin comes from a family of blacksmiths and naturally wants to continue the tradition. After many years of knifemaking and countless experiments, he can confidently say that he can produce top-quality knives that perform their function excellently and are beautiful.

Niko’s knife-making journey began at 19 while balancing college and restaurant work. After discovering knifemaking on YouTube, he started with basic tools and a DIY backyard forge. As he learned and experimented, he transitioned to forging with a propane forge and upgraded his shop over the years. Today, Niko continues to refine his craft, developing his own unique style along the way. We are honored to have Niko as one of our original makers.
